🌿 This Is Where We Begin Again (One Minute at a Time)

Life gets loud. Bodies get tired. Time feels short.
That’s why we’re tracking movement, not perfection.

Whether you're stretching for five quiet minutes before the kids wake up, walking laps around your barn, dancing in your kitchen, or carrying feed buckets — it all counts.

This isn’t about fancy workouts or guilt-fueled goals.
It’s about showing up for yourself in small, sustainable ways — because movement is medicine, and you deserve to feel strong, capable, and grounded again.

💪 Log Your Movement

Use the form to track your minutes, the type of movement you did, and one word to describe how you felt afterward.
You can log once or as often as you’d like — it’s all progress.

💡 Need ideas? Here’s your Unofficial Movement Menu:

  • Chasing a goat

  • Walking the dog

  • Barre, yoga, Pilates (or a YouTube mash-up)

  • Cleaning with dramatic flair

  • Stretching on the porch at sunset

  • Carrying laundry while squatting unnecessarily

  • One-song dance party with your kids

  • Farmcercise (aka barn chores that leave you sore)

If it moves your body and shifts your energy — it counts.

You’re not behind. You’re right on time.
This is where we begin again — one intentional moment at a time. 🌱

Piloga-Chi

Piloga-Chi is referenced throughout this website. When I was 22 years old, I was diagnosed with an ulcer. Are you kidding me? How much stress was my 22 year old body trying to manage? In hindsight, not very much, but at the time, it seemed earth shattering. Sooo, fast forward to my introduction to stress management, self care, and Tai-Chi.

As an exercise enthusiast, I found the marriage of Pilates, Yoga, and Tai-chi to prove a perfect fit for my body. There have been times of lots of exercise, and times that I put myself on the back burner. Just like you, my body has been more and less healthy at different times of my life.

When I first thought about these videos, I found myself hesitating, because I didn’t post my first video until I was in my most unhealthy state. Again, it wasn’t for lack of knowledge. I had all the tools, and all the information, but was severely lacking in my dedication to execution.

Sound familiar?

Too remain fully transparent, feel free to join me on my journey to rediscover the benefits of exercise, but most importantly, to fall in love with the body that provides us with life, again and again. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Life is Hard.

Adulting is Hard.

We often say we’re “fine,” but really, what we’re saying is, “I’m not okay.”

Well, it’s okay to not be okay….as long as you’re working on being okay.

Journaling. Exercising. Meditation

Yoga. Weights. Cardio

Swimming. Running. Walking

Talking. Sharing. Venting

Quote "The Struggle is part of the Story" in cursive writing on a light background.

There are times we feel amazing, and times we feel slightly less amazing. Regardless of the current state of your body, your core is the center of your physical being, and it is totally worth taking the time to strengthen.

Have you ever exercised and then regretted it? Probably not…we most often find ourselves feeling better, but we resist the plan over and over again.

Sometimes taking the time for you feels super inconvenient, but that’s okay….it’s okay for us to learn how to grow comfortable being uncomfortable.

Permission to fall over

Sometimes we really have our ish together, and sometimes not so much. Progress counts as success, and don’t let anyone tell you anything different!

Update: It seems as though I selected the wrong microphone….so if you need to rely on my voice, this video may not be your best option. I do remember my husband recommending that I at least watch my video once before posting….ooops!

Shake it anywhere…

Kids home, dogs barking, taking a lunch break….sometimes that’s when we make time for ourselves to move, get some blood flowing, and breathe.

Mental Reset

Have you ever felt like the noise in your brain is like bees buzzing? Racing thoughts, overlapping thoughts, competing priorities, and responsibilities? How are we supposed to do all the things all the time?

Even if we think we can, we probably won’t be able to do all the things all the time….and do them well.

Sometimes, we need a minute; sometimes, we need several minutes. Whether you need a couple minutes to breathe, to reframe your thoughts, or to dig deep for positive affirmations, my new series of 5-minute resets is geared toward those who are looking to quiet the noise in their brain.
